How employees stick around.

At whole foods, after you get hired, you get a 1 month "feeling out" process. after about a month the team you are working for i.e. produce, prepared foods, grocery etc. votes on you.

so each employee in your department gets a vote to determine whether or not you get to stick around.

Get your ass kissin' boots ready. how do you guys think you would do?

  2. Haha I cover so many days for my coworkers they'd have to keep me around.

  3. That's interesting. They get to see your personality and work ethic before being stuck with ya.

  4. Interesting way of doing things. I'd probably do okay with it, unless the people on my 'team' were idiots. In that case, I'd probably be fired before they got to vote, for cramming someone's nostrils full of tofu...

  6. Is this some sort of "you are voted off the island" thing? That sounds terrible!

  7. Jesus. Whole Foods sounds a wee bit like Lord of the Flies. Just don't sound too reasonable, and they won't kill you.
